The Pierce FCCLA headed to Kearney on Monday, September 12, to attend the Fall Leadership Workshop.
The members who went included Samantha Hartman, Rose Graham, Elizabeth Harris, Ellie Peters, Stephanie Rinkel, Sydney Slater, Sydney Erickson, and Emilia Goetsch.
To start off the workshop, keynote speaker Rhett Laubach shared an inspirational story about overcoming life’s biggest challenges.
Then, everybody attended one of three tracks including the new member track, the chapter officer track, and the next-level leader track. During these tracks, members learned more about how to become better leaders, and gained ideas to bring back to their own chapters such as events, workshops, and ice breakers.
“I liked the format that there were three tracks; the new member track, the chapter officer track, and the next level leader track,” said advisor Cheryl Timm, “It had something for everyone.”
To put an end to the day, the members headed to Dairy Queen before heading home.
