Donuts with Dudes
“I would not have missed it for the world!” said one dad.
“Dad make sure you hang it in your locker at work” a student told their dad about a picture he had drawn.
These were just a few of the comments heard at the recent Donuts with Dudes event hosted at Pierce Elementary.
Over 500 people signed up to attend making this the largest event to date. The premise behind the event is to give “Dudes”, also known as Dads, Granddads, Uncles, Step-Dads etc.…an opportunity to have a morning sharing a cinnamon roll with their child in a fun atmosphere at school. Students are excited for the opportunity to have their dude see the school and their classroom. Dudes are equally excited to see where their child spends a large amount of time. Teachers provide an activity ranging from reading to one another to learning more about their dudes by asking questions about their childhood. All in all it was a great morning!
