BoxTop Contest At Elementary
The winners of the 2018 annual P.A.T.S. BoxTop contest were announced the end of March. The Pierce Elementary students have been clipping BoxTops during the past year for the contest. Each BoxTop is worth $0.10 when submitted to the BoxTop for Education program. P.A.T.S. has been participating in the BoxTop program since 2002. The students collected 8,903 box tops this year. This brings the lifetime dollar amount collected to an amazing $27,739.
P.A.T.S. awarded a classroom pizza party to the room who collected the most BoxTops and a box of skittles for each of the students in the classroom who came in second.
The first place winner was Mrs. Chambers 1st grade class. Taylor’s Bar and Grill in Pierce donated the pizza for the classroom party. Students enjoyed ‘yummy’ pizza, gatorade, cookies and time with their classmates. The second place went to the students in Mrs. Meyer’s 1st grade class.
A big thank you goes out to the Student Council members in 4th-6th grade for assisting in the trimming of BoxTops each week. The money earned from BoxTops is used to purchase items for the students at the elementary. Thank you to everyone who clipped, saved and sent in BoxTops. The contest will be held again in March next year, so keep clipping!
