High School Headlines
by Samantha Fischer
Every Wednesday, 2 to 3 journalism staff members will be featured on the 106 KIX radio station. 106 KIX started as a radio station because it gave them the opportunity to inform the greater NEN area about local news.
The journalism staff at Pierce will write their stories beforehand, and then they will record them. Students will be talking about the upcoming events happening at the high school and in the community.
When asked, Jeff Steffen, KIX manager, says, “My favorite part about High School Headlines is hearing directly from the kids and picking up the culture that is unique in each school.” The first broadcast will be next Wednesday at 6:50 am. Tune in to hear all the great and exciting news on 106.7 radio station or at the 106 KIX website!
