Marching into an End
by Audrea Huber
On Saturday, October 26, the Pierce High marching band traveled to Kearney to perform at the state competition. They performed at Kearney High School and played a selection of Elvis Presley's songs.
Klarissa Norris, a piccolo, said, “It was a really great experience and a great way to end the season as a senior.” The band earned a superior rating for class C.
Michael Sindt, the band director, said “I felt each of our performances was entertaining and enjoyable for not only the audience, but the band members as well.” He then followed up by saying, “Saturday we didn't play with quite the same intensity as in previous performances, but we still played at superior level.”
Congratulations to the Pierce High School marching band on having a successful season.
