FCCLA Competes at Districts

On Monday, February 3, the Pierce FCCLA traveled to Wayne State College to participate in the FCCLA District 8 Districts trying to punch a ticket to state.The FCCLA team had six members make it to state.
Advisor Angie Brodersen says, “I was very pleased with the placings today. Our FCCLA members put a lot of pride into their projects, and it paid off in a big way at our district competition.”
The members who competed were Alexis Schnoor, Samantha Fischer, Alexus Sindelar, Mason Sindelar, Kaila Spieker, Alyssa Cederburg, and Mackenzie Richmond. Fischer and Schnoor were district champions in the category of Entrepreneurship, A. Sindelar was district champion in Professional Presentation, Cederburg was district champion in Parliamentary Pro, Spieker was district runner-up in Fashion Construction, Richmond was district runner-up in Career Investigation, and M. Sindelar got a silver metal in Job Interview. Nebraska.
State qualifier Schnoor says, “Overall, I’m very impressed with the outcome of districts this year. We all worked hard on these projects and all of our hard work was paid off at the district competition. I’m excited to see how the state qualifiers will do in Lincoln this year at the State Leadership Convention!”
All the district champions and district runners-up will get to compete at the State FCCLA Convention in April in Lincoln.
