PHS Students Hold Class Meetings
As an annual tradition, students in grades 9-12 at Pierce High voted for their class officers and all grades nominated student council representatives.
Selected as senior class officers were Larissa Meier, president, Brynnlee Marks, vice president, Graison Pfeiffer, secretary and Kyla Knox, treasurer. Senior class officers not only will handle officer duties during their senior year, but they will also plan alumni events for their class in the future.
Meier, who also served as an officer during her sophomore and junior years said, “Designing a senior T-shirt” is one of the goals she has for the early part of the school year.
Junior class officers were Alena Peters, president, Dalton Svoboda, vice president, Madison Altwine, secretary and Tristan Kuehler, treasurer. Junior officers hold the responsibility of preparing for the junior class fundraiser held in the fall, as well as chairing committees for prom in the spring.
The sophomore class voted Brayden Kuper as president, Travis Emory as vice president, Zakary Abler as secretary and Peyton Wieting as treasurer.
Finally, the freshmen held their election and Skylar Scholting was made president, Ava Knox, vice president, Isaiah Yarde, secretary and treasurer was Payton Cederburg.
Nominated to student council were Abram Scholting in the junior class, Aylla Weeder in the freshman class, Brianna Rundell in the eighth grade, and Haley Scholting in the seventh grade. Not all classes had someone run for student council representative.
