Homecoming King and Queen Announced
by Ciara Garcia
On Friday, October 1, after winning the football game against O’Neill, the 2021 homecoming king and queen were announced.
Queen Callie Arnold stated, “I am very honored to be chosen as queen. I am very thankful for all of the support from my family and the school. I thought this homecoming was the best one we have had so far.”
The queen candidates were Kyla Knox, Payten Simmons, Arnold, and Kennedy Warneke.
King Ritter Oestreich stated, “I am truly thankful for the honor of getting homecoming king! It was really awesome to win Homecoming King just because I can now see the support I get from my classmates around me. I am also just glad that I got to experience this in my high school life when only a select few get chosen. I am already wishing I could go back in time and relive it all.”
The homecoming king candidates this year were Colton Fritz, Michael Kruntorad, Oestreich, and Matthew Christensen.
The homecoming candidates are nominated by the girls and boys letter club members. Once candidates are chosen, the entire 9-12 student body votes for the queen and king.
