Sophomores Explore Career Opportunities
By Brody Coulter
On Tuesday, October 15, the sophomore class traveled to Wayne, America, to explore potential careers and college degrees.
Macie Timm, a former Pierce High student, and now a Pierce High counseling assistant says, “Career Day is an event for sophomores where they explore various career paths through breakout sessions. These sessions educate students on practical skills such as self-defense, resume building, and job hunting.”
Timm also attended the same career day when she was enrolled in Piece High and says she also enjoyed it. Timm says her favorite part of the day is spending time with the kids.
Gavin Lubischer, a sophomore, says, “I enjoyed going to Wayne, getting a break from school, seeing friends from other schools, and exploring possible careers.”
Career Day is a great opportunity to see potential careers and learn about many new skills.
