Pierce High National FFA Week
By Brianna Rundell
National FFA week is coming to Pierce High from February 17-20. Throughout the week, the school will get festive with dress-up days.
On Monday, the theme is stand by the flag. The idea is for students to wear their finest American gear.
Next, Tuesday is farmers' day off, so students can get comfy and wear their pajamas. Also on Tuesday, FFA members will ditch the cars and drive their tractors to school instead!
During FFA week, “I hope people get information about agriculture, not just the random farm stuff, but to know the fun things, even though it doesn't relate straight to agriculture,” Veronica Orona, the vice president, said.
Wednesday, the theme is all about rodeo, so students will dress-up in rodeo gear.
Finally, on Thursday, FFA members should be in official dress and non-members should wear any type of blue or gold. The FFA will also hold a community breakfast in the morning.
“I hope FFA gets more recognized throughout the school and more people get involved,” Bailee Thelen, FFA secretary, said.
