PT Conferences in Both Buildings
By Tiffany Chaney
The spring parent teacher conferences happened in both buildings on Thursday, March 27. The elementary conferences were all day and the high school conferences were from 3:30-7:30.
Overall, 163 parents came, and 246 families came altogether at the high school. The parents were able to get a five point bonus ticket for their child if they attended the parent teacher meetings. The five points are for the student to use on any test for the rest of the semester although they can only use it on one test though.
“There was a lot of lines for teachers, and it took a couple hours to get through each of the lines for teachers. I think the teachers had some important stuff about my kids, and I even picked up their five points for a test,” Jennifer Schaible, a parent of two students at the high school stated.
At the elementary, the conferences began at 9 a.m. and went until 7 p.m. This year 331 students had their parents come to the elementary school and they came with their parents and only four students had a parent that was unable to attend.
“We always have great attendance for parent teacher conferences and this time was no different; 99% of our students had at least one parent show up for their scheduled conference time,” Trent Suehl, the principal at the elementary school stated.
