Pierce Girls Swing the Day Away at Boone Central

Pierce girls had success at Boone Central golf tournament on Saturday, September 19.
This was a varsity-only tournament, meaning that the Bluejays were only able to send their varsity golfers. Of these varsity golfers, Camasaia White shot a 93, where she was able to take home ninth place. Along with White, Brooke Podany shot a 96, where she was also able to take home 13th place. To go with them, Brailey Jensen shot a 103, Addison Frye shot a 106, and Jaelyn Jensen shot a 122.
“I feel like I golfed very well because I was able to shoot my personal best and also be able to go onto my next shot and not have to think about my previous shot,” Podany, a junior golfer, stated.
Altogether, the golf team was able to take home fifth place overall. They were able to shoot their best score of the year as a team, a 398.
“The girls golf team has done well up to this point so far. They just shot their best team score today at Boone Central, which was a 398. The girls have battled every time they have been on the golf course. They continue to get better at battling through adversity. They will continue to get better at this, and it will pay off for postseason golf,” head girls golf coach Jason Freudenburg stated.
