Midnight in Miami Homecoming Comes to an End

By Brynn Schwartz

After a long week of dress-up days and activities, Pierce High's 2026 homecoming is officially over. Congratulations to Nora Herian and Gavin Lubisher for winning queen and king for this year's homecoming.

On Saturday, October 10, Midnight in Miami homecoming was held in the auditorium from 8-10 and was open to freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Students gathered to get ready, spend time with friends, dance on the dance floor, and celebrate the end of homecoming week.

Thanks to the girls letter club, the auditorium was decorated with colorful, bright lights that lit up the floor. Throughout the night, students enjoyed dancing with their friends to the music.

“My last homecoming was definitely a bittersweet experience. I tried to soak in every moment. I loved the theme and the glow accessories. One thing I won't miss about homecoming is the hot audi,” senior Payton Montgomery said.

As seniors soaked up every moment and enjoyed their last homecoming, freshmen were just about to start experiencing the fun and what it is all about for the first time.

“I thought it was a fun experience overall; on Friday, I really liked the dance we did for cheer in front of everyone and, at the end, getting the win beating O’Neill. Saturday, it was fun to dress up and see everyone dressed up, and I enjoyed spending time with my friends,” freshmen Raegan Lambrecht said.

2026 Midnight in Miami homecoming was one to remember.
