New Paraeducators at Pierce
Pierce Elementary is Happy to Welcome Back Past Paraeducator

Starting off the new school year, Pierce Elementary welcomes back past paraeducator, Shannon Reinke, who is a Pierce High graduate from the class of ‘91.
After high school, Reinke headed off to college at Northeast Community College. Currently, Reinke is married and has four kids. She also has three young grandchildren.
After being a paraeducator at Pierce Elementary for years, Reinke worked at Wayne State College for six years. After asking Reinke why she decided to come back to Pierce, she explained, “I missed seeing all the little students. The faculty and staff are always great to work with.”
In her free time, you can find Reinke reading, quilting, or spending time with her grandchildren.
Kim Weber Joins the Pierce High Staff

Pierce High School welcomes Kim Weber, a new paraeducator in the special education department. She recently has worked at Reflections, but switched to Pierce High due to the fact that she enjoys working with kids.
A little about Weber’s past is, she was raised and grew up in Pierce. She went to the University of South Dakota-Springfield, and received her clerical degree.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and working in her flower garden. Weber’s husband’s name is Lane. Together they have two sons. Her son Dustin and his wife Sarah, live in Indiana and her son Josh and his wife live in Creighton. Between the two, she has two granddaughters.
Weber claims, “I enjoy working with all the kids and the staff.”
Pierce High wishes a great 2022-2023 school year to Kim Weber, and an amazing start to her Pierce career.
Pierce High Welcomes New Para Kim Nordby

This fall there are an abundance of new faces at Pierce High School, one of which is the new paraeducator Kim Nordby.
She is married and has three boys, two of which go to Pierce High and the other one to Pierce Elementary. Nordby commented that, “I think they [her sons] are adjusting and connecting well. I think they like it here.
Nordby is from Jackson, Michigan, and she attended college at both Northeast Community College and Wayne State College.
Nordby stated, “My favorite things about Pierce so far are the staff. I enjoy being with the kids, and I also like the class schedule. It makes for shorter class times, which lets the kids focus on one subject more.”
Nordby also stated her favorite thing about Pierce is the community feel and how people support each other.
