AI Affecting Students
By Addisyn Ludden
AI stands for Artificial intelligence. AI has become increasingly a part of student's lives throughout the past couple of years. There are many different platforms of AI but the main one is ChatGPT.
Whether writing essays, solving math problems, or getting answers for homework, AI does it all. Although students can get any type of answers from these AI platforms, they are not learning or benefiting anything from them. For most students it only takes just a few clicks and their homework is done.
Yes, it gets homework done faster but what good is it doing academically? Students who continue to use these platforms could potentially start to get set back from the rest of the students who do not use it. AI should only be used for a helping purpose and not a way to get homework done faster because of forgetting to do it the night before.
On the other hand, AI can be used for good uses. AI can help cite a source, get a title for a paper, spell check things, and lots more.
Students need to find more ways to use AI in a beneficial way rather than in a “cheating” way.
