Junior High Competes at ESU 8

The junior high quiz bowl team which consists of eighth graders Lydia Cone, Eleanor Bauermeister, Logan Brummels, Brody Scholting, Sawyer Konert, and seventh graders McKaylin Passyka, and Dakota Lorenzen, ventured to Neligh for the annual ESU 8 competition on Tuesday, February 25.
“It was a good experience, and I’m glad I was a part of it,” Cone states.
The first team Pierce went up against was West Holt, where we beat them 30-5. The second team the junior high competed against was Stuart, losing 30-5. In the last matchup they went up against Neligh-Oakdale, being defeated 30-15.
“It was a fun time to spend with friends,” Brummels comments.
