Boys Golf Season Preview

By Brody Coulter

Boys golf season is here. The season starts in early March and ends in late May. Over the course of the season, the varsity golf team will compete nine times, while the junior varsity will compete six times.

Competitions can last anywhere from 5-7 hours while on average practices last two hours. Practices can range from hitting golf balls on the range or playing a full round of golf.

This year the team has 15 people. Seniors include Payton Cederburg and Cooper Wachholtz. Juniors include Tyler Schulz, Cameron Kuehler, Skyler Stern, and Alexander Weinrich. The sophomores include Noah Fuerhoff-Gubbels, Hunter Parsons, Brayden Lambrecht, Keaton Vavra, and Logan Gubbels. Finally the freshmen are Kolten Wragge, Charlie Ottis, Korbin Gordon, Kohin Eichberger.

“We lost a few key guys from last year’s class, but I think with the new guys we can make it work. I'm excited to see how the season goes,” Payton Cederburg, a senior on the team, says.

Zach Weber is the head coach of the boys golf team and has seven years of coaching experience.

“Weber is a great coach, and he is very knowledgeable about the game of golf,” Tyler Schulz, a junior on the team says.
