Pierce Juniors Host Prom
By Ryder Matthew Theisen
On the night of Friday, March 20, the juniors and seniors attended their prom with the theme chosen by the junior class officers of “Unveil the Enchanted Garden,” which included decorations such as flowers, greenery, and varieties of oak logs.
“Prom set-up went well. It was quick and efficient and ended up coming together well. I’m excited for the dance,” junior Gavin Lubischer said.
Juniors chose a meal of broasted chicken or cod, a salad, cheesy potatoes, and a dinner roll. Following the meal, a class picture of each class was taken prior to the dance, which ran from 8-11. The night consisted of entertainment in the form of a Murder Mystery provided by the sophomore servers, a photo booth provided by Reflections Portraits, a meal provided by Taylor’s Catering, the dance, and then post prom.
Post prom followed the dance and consisted of many games, food, and prizes. At the beginning of post prom, students signed in and picked a number for prizes. Students were awarded an envelope containing $20 and could then venture to whichever game they wanted. A few of the games offered were an axe-throwing bouncy house, an obstacle course, yard games, and gaga ball. Before prizes there was a guest hypnotist and many people in the crowd shared a laugh while watching.
“Post prom was fun especially for me since I got hypnotized. The food was great and the $20 was an expected but pleasant surprise,” says senior class president Cameron Kuehler.
Prizes were at the end of the night and there were a plethora of prizes like mini refrigerators, TV’s, ice makers, blankets, and many other items. Students got prizes by getting their number called, and then had 30 seconds to go find whatever prize they wanted. Post prom ended at around 2:30 in the morning, and students checked out and went home.
