Support Dig Pink by Donating to Raffle

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the Pierce volleyball team will host their pink-out game on Tuesday, October 13. To make the event extra special and raise money for the For the Girls organization, businesses and individuals are being asked to donate pink items to raffle off.
Thousands of schools nationwide host a Dig Pink volleyball game in October to honor breast cancer awareness, and the tradition remains strong in Pierce. To have a bigger impact, a raffle will be held during the game, and to make this happen, businesses, organizations, and individuals are being asked to donate pink items. This can include baskets, baked goods, toys, etc.
The purpose of the Dig Pink volleyball game is to spread awareness for those affected by breast cancer by promoting early detection, education, and increased funding for those who fight. While these games have a great impact, there are many organizations that are fighting year-round.
One of these is the For the Girls non-profit organization based in Norfolk. Their mission is to help women from around northeast Nebraska win the fight by providing medical, educational, and emotional support. This organization has had a direct impact on many women who have fought and are fighting breast cancer, and to help further their influence, all proceeds from the raffle will be donated to their organization.
If you are willing to make a donation, please drop off your pink item(s) at the high school main office. Non-perishable items can be dropped off at any time during the school day, but perishable items can be dropped off the day before or the day of the volleyball game. Supporting breast cancer awareness is more than wearing pink; it is coming together as a community to support those affected and turn awareness into action.
